Does Mr Beast Fly Private? Unlikely, But This Football Podcast is Taking Off!

Hey everyone, sharing something a bit different today! For those who know me, you’re aware of my passion for football, especially playing fantasy football – Jon Rudoe, Alex V., and Ade Fatukasi, get ready for next season when our league kicks off again! And of course, supporting the greatest club in London, Arsenal F.C. (If follower numbers drop after this, I’ll know who the rivals are! 😅).

But what you might not know is that I’ve started contributing my thoughts and commentary to an Arsenal podcast called Stateside Gooners. Being based in the UK allows me to bring listeners in America and across the globe right into the heart of North London’s football atmosphere.

Today marks the release of episode 35, and it’s my fourth time featuring on the podcast. In this episode, I dive into our game against Aston Villa and share a quick, heartwarming interview with Tyson, a 4-year-old experiencing his very first match!

Even though I’m comfortable with public speaking, live commentary is a whole different ball game. The sheer unpredictability of football, especially when it’s Arsenal, combined with the intense emotions, makes it a truly unique and challenging experience. I’ve gained a whole new level of respect for live presenters and will definitely be watching Soccer Saturday with different eyes from now on!

Whether you’re a die-hard Arsenal fan or just enjoy tuning into football podcasts, I highly recommend giving Stateside Gooners a listen. Eric and Matt offer fantastic insights into both the men’s and women’s games, share personal fan stories, and much more. You can follow them on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or your favorite podcast platform. I’ll be back on air at the end of February for the Arsenal vs. West Ham game – tune in and hopefully you’ll hear some improvement in my live commentary skills! 😄

My main takeaway from this experience? If you’re nervous about trying something new or hesitant about starting a new hobby – just go for it! It’s way more fun than you might think.

P.S. If you’re a Spurs fan, be warned, there might be a few jokes at your expense in this episode – maybe sit this one out!
